Highway to the Gaming Zone
Susanville’s Highway to the Gaming Zone, located on Main Street, has officially leveled up. The midtown staple recently clinched the number three spot in a ranking of area game stores for November 2025, according to the web ranking platform BusinessRate.
The award highlights the store’s impact on the local gaming community and its reputation for quality service. For owner Thomas Herrera, the recognition is a reflection of the bond built between the shop and its patrons.
“We are honored to have recently received a Top 3 Business Rate Award for local video game stores,” Herrera said. “This distinction is based on positive customer feedback, making it especially meaningful to us.”
A Six-Year Journey
Since opening its doors six years ago, Highway to the Gaming Zone has focused on more than just selling consoles and cartridges. Herrera notes that the core mission has always been about fostering a local culture.
“We are deeply grateful for this recognition and for the continued love and support we have received over the past six years,” Herrera shared.
“From the beginning, our goal has been to create a welcoming space where everyone feels valued and a true sense of belonging within our shop.”
Looking Toward the Future
The BusinessRate award comes at a time of momentum for the store. As the gaming industry continues to evolve, Herrera is looking for ways to scale the business to meet the demands of Lassen County gamers.
“We sincerely thank every individual who has supported us along the way,” said Herrera. “This journey has been incredibly rewarding, and we look forward to continued growth as we expand our business to better serve the needs of our community.”
Whether you are looking for the latest release or a retro classic, you can visit Highway to the Gaming Zone on Main Street to see what makes them one of the top-rated spots in the region.
