Welcome to our weekly feature dedicated to covering Susanville and Lassen County’s business scene! Grand openings, new employees, renovations, new hours… each week we’ll keep you up to date with important information about the businesses you rely on.
Lassen County Chamber of Commerce

The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce is entering a season of evolution, and they want the local business community to be the primary architects of what comes next.
For years, the traditional monthly mixers have served as a cornerstone for local professional networking, but as Susanville and the surrounding areas grow, Chamber President Morgan Wemple notes that the organization is committed to ensuring these gatherings remain truly valuable and engaging for every participant.
According to Wemple, the Chamber is currently taking a fresh look at how local professionals and businesses are brought together. This shift in perspective could lead to a variety of new formats, ranging from purposeful networking events and skill-based lunch gatherings to larger, community-focused celebrations.
The Chamber is even considering adjustments to the frequency of these meetings to better respect the busy schedules of local owners and employees.

Before any permanent changes are implemented, Wemple and the Chamber board are seeking direct input from those who drive the local economy. They are specifically looking to understand what types of events businesses find most valuable, which days or times align best with professional schedules, and what specific elements would make a Chamber event a “must-attend” on a crowded calendar.
This feedback is essential to ensuring that Chamber programming continues to support and strengthen the local business community in a meaningful way.
In addition to reimagining the mixers, the Chamber has recently launched an updated member packet designed to clearly highlight the diverse benefits and resources available to local businesses.
Moving forward, the community can also look forward to newly promoted quarterly member luncheons, which will offer a structured environment for sharing ideas and staying informed about the local economic landscape.
Wemple emphasizes that the Chamber truly appreciates the voice and involvement of its members.
