Muffins and Mimosas at Every Bloomin’ Thing

Something special is blooming this weekend as Every Bloomin’ Thing invites the community to their Susanville location for a charming “Muffins and Mimosas in the Garden” event. Scheduled for Saturday, May 9th, from 10:00a.m. until 5:00p.m., this springtime gathering is the perfect opportunity to soak up the fresh air and enjoy the warm, welcoming atmosphere of our local garden community.

Whether you are planning a festive outing with your best friend or looking for the perfect way to spend a Saturday, the morning promises a delightful experience. Guests are encouraged to grab a refreshing mimosa and a delicious muffin before wandering through the nursery and cozy gift shop, which is currently stocked with some of the cutest finds of the season.

Owners Mike and Charity Frank expressed their excitement for the event, noting that there is no better way to celebrate the season than surrounded by beautiful blooms and good company. You can find all the festivities located just east of Johnstonville at 705-670 US-395.

Double the Celebration: Chester Reopens!
In addition to the party in Susanville, the announcement many people at Lake Almanor have been waiting for is finally here: the Every Bloomin’ Thing Chester location is officially reopening for the season on May 9th.

The Franks welcome back their amazing mountain garden community to the beautiful Chester nursery. Whether you are ready to completely refresh your landscape, hunt for a few new favorites, or simply want to stop by and say hello after the winter break, Saturday marks the official start of another wonderful growing season. Mark your calendars, bring a friend and prepare for a blooming good time!

Celebrate Mom with Dirt Track Thrills at Diamond Mountain Speedway

If you are looking to trade the traditional brunch for high-octane excitement this year, Diamond Mountain Speedway has the perfect plan. On Saturday, May 9th, the engines will roar to life for a special Mother’s Day racing event designed to celebrate all the amazing moms in our community.

Brought to you by race promoter Berglund Racing and the Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel, this evening promises a blend of family-friendly fun and heart-pounding, action-packed dirt track racing.

In a special tribute to mothers, the Speedway is offering a great deal to help them join in on the fun. Mothers can secure a seat in the grandstands for just $5 or choose to get closer to the action with pit entry for only $20. It is a fantastic opportunity to treat Mom to an unforgettable night of speed and local tradition without breaking the bank.

The day kicks off early with the pits opening at 2:00p.m. for those who want to see the cars and crews up close. The grandstands open their gates at 5:00, giving fans plenty of time to find the perfect vantage point before the green flag drops and racing officially starts at 6:00.

Regular grandstand admission is set at $15 for adults, while seniors over the age of 65 and children aged 5 to 17 can enter for $10. In a wonderful gesture of appreciation, veterans and children under the age of 5 receive free grandstand admission. For fans looking for the full pit experience, general admission is $40, with a discounted rate of $25 for seniors and kids aged 5 to 17. As always, the youngest race fans under 5 enter the pits for free.

To make your visit even smoother, Diamond Mountain Speedway is pleased to announce that they are now able to accept credit cards at the gate. Whether you are a lifelong racing enthusiast or looking for a unique way to spend a Saturday night with mom and the family, head out to the track this May 9th to honor Mom with a night of dirt-flying excitement!
