Evans Marketing Agency
Owned by lifelong Susanville resident and local entrepreneur Julie Johnston, Evans Marketing Agency started with her passion for digital marketing and a mission to help small businesses grow and reach their potential online through effective digital marketing strategies.
Johnston has worked in the small business sector locally in the legal and real estate fields and marketing at the college level for 40 years combined.
One of the digital pieces Evans Marketing Agency specializes in is SEO “Search Engine Optimization”, which improves your website’s visibility on search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing and attracts more organic traffic to your site.
Johnston added, “Many people have a website and think that they’re good to go, not realizing that there are important behind the scenes things that are needed, in order to have the public find you during a search.”
Johnston explains it by letting people know that “it is like your brain and your fingers and your nerves. Those nerves running from your brain to your fingers need a conduit to run through or nothing happens. If that conduit is broken, your fingers fail to work. Same thing happens with your website. If keywords and backlinks are not put into play, when a potential customer or client does a search, your website may not come up.
According to Johnston, a secondary issue for business owners is that during a search online, their business is listed on page 2 or 3 in a Google search instead of page 1. Most people will look at the first few listings on Page 1 and not scroll further.
Another issue that Johnston calls prevalent in small business is that something as simple as a name change, move to a new address or a new phone number. These can cause credibility issues within the search engines and move your business farther down from the top of the list during a search.
She says that cleaning up these issues behind the scenes, as well as making sure your GMB (Google My Business) profile is up to date, all helps to connect the dots and bring your business to the forefront during searches, thus increasing your visibility and your clientele and gross revenue.
Evans Marketing Agency also offers pay-per-click advertising as well as Social Media Marketing to engage your audience and grow your brand’s presence on social media platforms.
