Local Treasure Hunt Adventure Hits Susanville Trails
The X Hunt is a family-friendly YouTube series produced locally in Lassen County. Each episode features a real treasure hidden somewhere in Northern California, blending adventure travel, puzzle-solving and the thrill of discovery.

A New Episode Drops Saturday
A real treasure chest worth at least $500 in cash and prizes has been hidden right here in Lassen County — and the only way to find it is by solving the digital clues inside The X Hunt’s brand-new episode that will go live Saturday morning at 10:00a.m. on the X Hunt Youtube channel.
The latest adventure will take treasure hunters along the Bizz Johnson Trail and Susanville Ranch Park Trail — showcasing the beauty of Susanville’s local landmarks while challenging families and adventurers to crack codes, spot hidden riddles and be the first to uncover the prize.
“We wanted to create something that blends mystery, outdoor adventure, and gives people an awesome reason to get outside and explore” explains Christina Andersen, who with husband Tim, created The X Hunt.
Each episode features cinematic storytelling, hidden ciphers, and fun family moments — with the treasure box only available until sundown. If no one finds it, the treasure disappears back into The X Hunt’s vault.
