Welcome to our weekly feature dedicated to covering Susanville and Lassen County’s business scene! Grand openings, new employees, renovations, new hours… each week we’ll keep you up to date with important information about the businesses you rely on.

Every Bloomin Thing

Every Bloomin Thing will present the free Dahlia Show September 28th, from 11:00a.m. until 3:00p.m. at 705-670 Highway 395 east.

The Dahlia Show will feature artist Rorie Chittock, a Dahlia aficionado who grows collectible and rare varieties of Dahlias right here in Lassen County.

Chittock will be showing more than forty varieties of unique and stunning Dahlias at Saturday’s show.

You will meander through Chittock’s amazing collection and learn about the different varieties while you sip champagne. Dahlias, which come in many incredible shapes, sizes, and colors, make incredible cut flowers.

On September 27th, from 5:15 to 7:00p.m., Every Bloomin Thing will be hosting a Harvest Hedgehog and Mini Mushroom Terrarium Class with Instructor Melissa McCoy.

The class uses a modern glass terrarium with a wide-mouth opening to enable easy access for planting and watering.

This is a super fun, beginner level project with lots of natural elements to brighten up your home, the only limits are your imagination.

Cost of the class is $58. The event includes a Sip & Shop break in the middle of the class

Along with creating an adorable terrarium, you will also learn the tricks and techniques for succeeding with miniature house plants or succulents indoors.

This class lets you tap into your inner wild side and creativity as you use plants, mini mushrooms, and a tiny hedgehog to decorate your own art piece.

You will also use natural elements, including deco, moss, pebbles, twigs, and colored sand to create the terrarium.

For more information about the Dahlia Show or the Terrarium Class call Every Bloomin Thing at 1.530.251.2330.
