Welcome to our weekly feature dedicated to covering Susanville and Lassen County’s business scene!
Grand openings, new employees, renovations, new hours… each week we’ll keep you up to date with important information about the businesses you rely on.
Sno Mountain Chalet
Introducing Sno Mountain Chalet, a new local eatery just above Lassen High School, located on 87 South Weatherlow Street!
“This establishment specializes in three things – good eats, sweet treats and service that will leave you with a smile,” says Zach Mallery, who, along with brother Christopher, operates the little cafe. “From our burgers and burritos, to bursting boba and Red Bulls, to specialty coffee and seasonal delights, everything is fresh and exciting here at the Sno Mountain Chalet!”
The brothers started as a local food trailer under the name ‘Sno Mountain Shaved Ice’ which had started serving Susanville and the surrounding areas in 2022.
“From a starting menu of simply shaved ice, we took our knowledge of cuisine from over a decade in catering experience and desire to create new and exciting food and drinks that you can’t get anywhere else and turned a humble trailer into a specialty drink, fusion food, and shaved ice trailer. Quite the crazy growth for just the first year!”
When the Mallerys found their new location, they knew that it was the place to make something new out of the Sno Mountain brand, serving something for everyone, and have customers excited to come back for the new things their team would cook up next.
“After our soft opening we knew that this place would be our new base, our new home. The Sno Mountain Chalet was going to be the place where our best ideas and crazy creations could be given to our loving Sno Mountaineers!”
What’s next? Zach says, “That’s the best part, you never know! Specials come and go like that, and new items will always be added! The Sno Mountain Chalet will always have something new and delicious for you to enjoy, especially as the seasons begin to turn!”
