The Bureau of Land Management is seeking a campground host interested in living and working along the Pit River in Northeast California for the late summer and fall seasons.
The camp host will provide visitor information, collect camping fees and perform light maintenance at the BLM Pit River Campground.
The BLM provides a camping space with RV connections and pays a small stipend to help with living expenses.
The Pit River Campground is a popular picnic and fishing site, and attracts kayakers and rafters during high river flows. The nearest full service community is Fall River Mills, about five miles away. The community has an 18-hole championship golf course.
Information is available from Claude Singleton at the BLM Applegate Field Office, (530) 233-4666.
