The broadcast burn will be ignited only if weather allows for safe and successful burning.
The North Eagle Burn will cover about 25 to 100 acres about three miles northwest of the Stones-Bengard Community. The size of the burn will depend on fuel conditions and weather. The objective is to reduce pine needle litter and grasses to reduce wildfire risk and improve wildlife habitat.
Smoke will likely be visible from State Highway 139 and from the north shore of Eagle Lake.
