The Bureau of Land Management has planned the project for Saturday, September 29th, on National Public Lands Day.

BLM staff and volunteers will clear brush for campsites, install fire rings, build an informational kiosk, install a game hanging station and build a buck and rail fence.
The BLM will provide tools and work gloves and transportation to the work site for those who do not have high-clearance vehicles. The BLM will also provide water, snacks and lunch. Participants should bring sunscreen, insect repellent and water bottles.
A barbecue and celebration of the day’s accomplishments will be held at the end of the day at the project site.
Participants can camp at the site or return to Cedarville when the project is completed.
Volunteers will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the BLM Surprise Field Office, 602 Cressler St., in Cedarville.
National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer event for public lands. Last year more than 170,000 volunteers worked at more than 2,000 sites in every state, the District of Columbia and many U. S. territories planting trees, removing trash, building trails and clearing invasive plants. Their contributions were estimated at $17 million.
