During the March 12th, Lassen County Board of Education meeting, the Board proudly recognized Stacy Russell for her remarkable 39 years of service to the Lassen County Office of Education and the schools of Lassen County.
As she prepares for retirement, Stacy leaves behind a legacy of dedication, institutional knowledge, and unwavering support for educators and staff across the region.
Stacy began her journey with LCOE in February of 1986 as the Confidential Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services. Over the years, she took on key roles, including Administrative Assistant to Personnel, Credential Analyst, and ultimately, Executive Assistant to the County Superintendent in 1993.
Her work has been instrumental in supporting LCOE and ensuring the smooth operation of school personnel services throughout the county.
“Stacy’s impact on LCOE and our schools cannot be overstated,” said Lassen County Superintendent of Schools, Patricia Gunderson.
“Her dedication, expertise, and commitment to education have made a lasting difference for countless educators and students. While we will miss her greatly, we are so happy for her as she begins this next chapter.”
Beyond her professional contributions, Stacy is a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoys camping, gardening, and cheering on her grandchildren in their many sports activities.
In retirement, she looks forward to spending more time with family, preparing for an exciting wedding in May, and creating cherished memories with her grandkids.
Lassen County Office of Education extends its deepest gratitude to Stacy for her years of service and dedication. Her contributions have strengthened education in Lassen County, and she will be greatly missed by colleagues and friends alike.
