Breaking News: Fire Crews Responding to Vegetation Fire Near Milford

Smoke from the 395 Fire burning near Milford was visible from Susanville this afternoon.

Forward progress of the fire has been contained and firefighters are entering the mop-up stage.

Updated 1:57p.m. Report on Conditions
According to the 395 Fire Incident Command the fire is approximately at 30 to 35 acres and burning in an easterly direction. According to the report firefighters are making ‘decent progress’ and irrigated fields are helping to slow the fire’s progression.

Updated 1:26p.m. CHP is providing traffic control on 395 at the scene of the fire.

Updated 1:22p.m. Preliminary Report on Conditions.

According to radio traffic the fire is burning in 5 to 10 acres of heavy brush at a moderate rate of spread. At last report it is burning toward the lake with no structures threatened.

1:16p.m. Firefighters are responding to a vegetation fire in Milford along Highway 395.

The fire is reportedly on the south side of 395 across the highway from the pumpkin patch.
