The California Highway Patrol, Lassen County Sheriff’s Department and emergency medical responders are arriving on-scene at a Highway 44 collision involving at least one vehicle and a train.
Initial reports indicate that the vehicle was occupied when the collision occurred.
The accident took place where the rail line crosses Highway 44 near Champ’s Flat. The southbound train has been tentatively identified as belonging to BNSF.
No other details are available at this time.
