Updated at 2:11p.m. Fire crews have put out the vegetation fire. Traffic controls which were in place on Joaquin have been lifted.

1:55p.m. Crews from Cal-Fire, Susan River Fire District, Janesville Fire and other agencies are responding to a vegetation fire burning near Chestnut Street and Joaquin Street in Susanville.
The crews arriving characterize the fire as a ‘small vegetation fire’. We will have more information as it becomes available.
