Updated 4:59 At this time traffic on 36 is being stopped at the intersection of Highway 36 and 395 to the intersection of Main Street and Riverside Drive.

4:49p.m. Cal-Fire, Susanville City Fire Department, Susan River and Susanville City Volunteers are responding to a vegetation fire on Highway 36 just south of the Susanville city limits.
No Structures are threatened at this time. Report from the scene is that the fire is currently at around 1/4 of an acre with a moderate rate of spread.
