EVACUATION ORDERS LIFTED at 2:30p.m.
All evacuation orders for the gas leak have been lifted at this time. Residents are allowed to return to their homes.
There are still road closures in effect on North Weatherlow Street from Nevada Street to Arnold Street. There is an additional road closure on North Street from Martha Street to North Union Street.
Personnel is still working in the area to make additional repairs.

Susanville Assembly of God Church at 473-465 Richmond Road North has been designated as the evacuation center for those displaced by the natural gas incident.

At noon the Lassen High School announced that because of a request by the Susanville Police Department the school is sending students home early today. Students will be released at 12:15p.m., they may be picked up at the back parking lot off of Weatherlow Street. Busses will leave form campus at 12:30p.m.

Emergency crews from multiple agencies are currently on the scene of a ruptured natural gas line that occurred this morning, November 14th, at approximately 9:30a.m. The incident is located in the area of North Weatherlow and North Street, and the cause of the break is not yet known.
As a precaution, Susanville City Police are actively notifying and executing an evacuation for residents in the immediate danger zone, including those on Martha Street, Nevada Street and Arnold Street.
Motorists should avoid the area, as significant street closures are in effect to allow emergency crews to safely manage the situation. North Weatherlow Street is closed from Main Street to Chestnut Street, and North Street is closed from Grand Avenue to Willow Street.
Residents are urged to follow all instructions from law enforcement and emergency personnel.
