Jamie Huber with Diamond View School will present methods that are taught in the classrooms on “Common Core.” She will be discussing:
- Where the new CCSS(Common Core State Standards) came from
- Why there was a need for new standards
- Key differences in the new CCSS in both English language arts and math from the previous standards
- What the new CCSS mean for statewide assessment
- Where parents can get resources and more information to help make their children be more successful
- Common myths about the CCSS and the facts
