The Lassen County Arts Council and the Historic Uptown Susanville Association have teamed up for a frightful contest!
The Arts Council’s Halloween Themed Art Contest is open to Kindergarteners and up with five age divisions and prizes for First Place and Runner-Up in each division.

Contestants are limited to one entry each and must submit their entry with an entry form from the Lassen County Arts Council or Margie’s Book Nook.
The artwork and entry form must be submitted by October 24, 2012, to the LCAC located at 805 Cottage Street, Susanville.
Entries may be in a medium of the artist’s choice (Oil, Pen and Ink, Acrylics, Watercolors, Pastels, Pencils, Crayons, or Charcoal etc.). Submissions should be on good quality bond or drawing paper, or illustration board. Preferred sizes for the image are 8½”x11″ or 11″x14″. Entries should not be framed.
Composition must be original. Photographs may be used for reference, but artwork determined to have been traced or copied from an existing photograph or work of art will be disqualified.
Winners will be announced during HUSA’s Annual Safe and Sane Halloween event in Uptown Susanville on October 31, 2012. All artwork will be available for pick-up from the LCAC gallery after October 31, 2012. Winners will have their artwork displayed through November 11, 2012, in participating Uptown businesses.
