The Lassen County Sheriff’s Department is seeking a Nevada man this morning after he was reportedly discovered on the property of a Janesville resident and subsequently identified by law enforcement as 65 year-old Santos Telebango Bagano Jr. of Stagecoach, Nevada.
On April 10, 2014 around 1:30 PM, an unknown male was found on another person’s property in the area of Honey Girl Ln., in the Janesville area. The man claimed to be from the Sacramento area and was looking for real estate. During the conversation the man’s story seemed very suspicious and he commented about having family members who were in law enforcement. The unidentified man was asked to leave the property, which he did.
Investigation into the man’s identity revealed he was driving a 2005 Ford Mustang. It was discovered the man was seen on two different occasions in this vehicle; two days prior in Janesville near Janesville Elementary School and parked at the intersection of Sunnyside Rd. County Rd. A-3.
The Sheriff’s Office has identified the man as Santos Telebango Bagano Jr., 65, of Stagecoach Nevada. Bagano is a Sex Offender as defined in 290 of the California Penal Code.
According to LCSO Sergeant Kevin Jones, Bagano is currently listed as a Tier 2 offender in the Nevada Department of Public Safety Registry, which requires lifetime registration. Further investigation has revealed that Bagano is required to notify the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department within 24 hours of leaving Nevada, which he did not complete.
Currently, Bagano is out of compliance with his mandatory registration in both Lassen County and Nevada and is subject to arrest if located. Bagano was last seen in a 2005 Ford Mustang as depicted in the photo below.
He is described as White male adult, 65 years old, brown hair, brown eyes, 5’07”, 180 Lbs., wearing chrome framed glasses, missing finger joints on right hand and a scar under his chin, (photo below).
