On Saturday Customer Talk invites you to stop by and have your picture taken with Santa from 10:00 to 2:00p.m. in their shop at 606 Main Street.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Susanville and this weekend is packed with event after event to help celebrate the season. Craft fairs, fireworks, parades, live performances and the festival of lights are just a few of the fun things on the calendar this Friday and Saturday.

Fairgrounds Craft Fair

The Lassen County Fair’s annual Holiday Craft Fair is a huge two day event featuring everything from hand-crafted wooden toys to homemade maple syrup and steam punk jewelry. It is the perfect place to shop for that hard-to-buy-for person on your Christmas shopping list.

Crafters fill up several buildings on the fairgrounds; Jensen Hall and the Commercial, Floral, Industrial buildings are stuffed with great gift ideas.

The show opens on December 5th from 4:00p.m. to 8:00 and on Saturday doors will be open from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.

Victims of Crime Hobby Craft Fair

Also at the fairgrounds is the 25th annual Lassen Family Services and the California Correctional Center Victims of Crime Hobby Craft Fair and Auction.

You can find something for everyone while helping out a good cause; clocks, toys, belt buckles, redwood jewelry boxes, benches, picnic tables and a redwood playhouse are just some of the handmade items.

Camp inmates donated their own time and supplies to produce craft items.

All of the donated hobby crafts will be displayed at the fairgrounds this Friday and Saturday as part of the Lassen County Fair’s holiday craft fair; on Friday, December 5th from 4:00 to 8:00p.m. and Saturday, December 6th from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. The live auction begins at 1:00 Saturday afternoon.
