Looking for a life-changing opportunity with specialized training, education and scholarships while earning a paycheck and giving back to your community and the environment? There is a free California Conservation Corps recruitment event scheduled this month at Lassen College and young people interested in a job and building experience in natural resource management are invited to attend.
The event, hosted by the Lassen County Environmental Educational Collaborative on February 11th, at 7:00p.m. in the college’s Child Development building, and will feature Jared Fautt, CCC’s Zone 1 Recruiter, who’ll be presenting on behalf of the CCC. Fautt will also be available for questions following the presentation.
The event is focused on providing a direct link, through the CCC, for 12th graders and Lassen Community College students interested in gaining work experience, college tuition credit and finding job pathways to natural resource careers. Any curious high school students and parents are welcome. Please contact Jesssie Diermier at (530) 257-3252 with any questions or inquiries.
This event is a program of the Lassen County Environmental Education Collaborative, a partnership between the BLM Eagle Lake Field Office, Lassen National Forest, the Lassen County Office of Education and Lassen Land and Trails Trust.
