On February 11th, young people in Lassen County were invited to attend a California Conservation Corps Recruitment Event hosted by the Lassen County Environmental Education Collaborative. Guest presenters Jared Fautt, CCC’s Zone 1 Recruiter, and colleague Sterling Guijar, discussed the benefits of involvement in the CCC for young people, ages 18-25.
The presenters discussed the multitude of benefits available to CCC participants from paid, job-specific, specialized training and work experience to scholarships and assistance starting a career pathway.
