On February 11th, young people in Lassen County were invited to attend a California Conservation Corps Recruitment Event hosted by the Lassen County Environmental Education Collaborative. Guest presenters Jared Fautt, CCCās Zone 1 Recruiter, and colleague Sterling Guijar, discussed the benefits of involvement in the CCC for young people, ages 18-25.
The presenters discussed the multitude of benefits available to CCC participants from paid, job-specific, specialized training and work experience to scholarships and assistance starting a career pathway.Ā If you missed the event and would like more information on the CCC, brochures and contact information are available at the Trustās offices, located in the historic Susanville railroad depot or you can visit the CCCās webpage -www.ccc.ca.gov.
