Shaffer Elementary School is gearing up to welcome its newest and youngest students for the upcoming school year. The school is hosting its TK and Kinder Roundup on Wednesday, April 22nd, from 3:30 to 5:00p.m., creating a wonderful opportunity for families to prepare for their child’s educational journey.
To participate in the roundup, parents should note the following age requirements: Children eligible for Transitional Kindergarten must be turning four years old on or before September 1st, 2026. For those entering traditional Kindergarten, children must be turning five years old on or before that same date, September 1st, 2026.
Ready to get started? Mark your calendars, because registration for the 2026-27 school year opens on April 15th. Families can access the necessary registration forms online at the Shaffer School website.
Once you have completed the online registration forms, make sure to bring a few essential documents to the roundup. These required items include your child’s birth certificate and up-to-date immunization records. Additionally, if available, please bring dental screening and school entry physical exam records.
