The Soaring Eagle Blue Star Moms and Country Pines Quilt Shop are joining forces for a heartfelt community project, and they need your sewing skills to make it a success.
On April 25th and 26th, the Veterans Memorial Hall in Susanville will transform into a bustling quilting hub. The goal is ambitious but meaningful: gathering 40 quilters to complete 40 quilt tops over two days. These quilts will be gifted to local veterans and active-duty military men and women as a token of gratitude for their service.
The event will be held April 25th and 26th, from 8:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. both days, at the Veterans Memorial Hall on Main Street.
To make participation easy, all quilt kits will be furnished for the volunteers. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a dedicated hobbyist, your time and talent will help provide comfort to those who have served our country. Just bring your talent and your sewing machine.
Space is limited to 40 participants, so early registration is encouraged. You can sign up in person at Country Pines Quilt Shop, 704-395 Richmond Rd E, or by calling 1.530.260.9600.
