The Honey Lake Rest Area on Highway 395 near Janesville will be temporarily closed as of today, May 31st, according to the California Department of Transportation.
Closure of the rest area is necessary in order to transition to the new wastewater system. Both the water and wastewater systems will not be functional during this transition.
The project is anticipated to be completed, and the rest area reopened, by July 31st, 2017.
