Caltrans Update: Finishing Touches Being Put On Main Street Paving Project

The California Department of Transportation continues with its Main Street renovation project this week, with work planned from today through Friday from 8:00p.m. until 8:00a.m.

According to this week’s update from Caltrans crews spent last week conforming utility lids to the finished paved surface and began work on paving the side street connections.

This week crews are scheduled to install signs and handrails at various locations, finish more manhole/water valve lids and complete side street paving. Crews will then begin bump-grinding throughout the project.

There will also be daytime electrical work requiring no traffic control or lane closures.

Between 8:00p.m. and 8:00a.m. each day there will be one-way controlled traffic with 15-minute delays.
