Get ready for a purr-fectly good time as “Cat Scratch Fever Fest” comes to Memorial Park tomorrow, August 2nd, from 4:30 to 9:30p.m. This special event is a benefit concert for The Lassen Humane Society, aiming to support their invaluable services to the community.
Attendees can look forward to an evening filled with drinks, games, food and fun for the whole family. The festival will feature live music performances by Kelly Ann, Feather River Revival, and Hoots and Annie.
Tickets are available for presale at $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. Door tickets will be $12 for adults and $7 for kids. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs to enjoy the festivities.
Presale tickets will still be available today at Margie’s Book Nook in uptown Susanville.
Money raised at Saturday’s event will help the Humane Society continue their spay and neuter program, which is out of funds for the year. This has been a very successful and popular program in Lassen County.
The Lassen Humane Society was formed in 1985 by a handful of dedicated volunteers who engaged in the challenge of advocacy for Lassen County animals.
LHS sometimes receives funding from grants which the organization write themselves; however, they are unreliable and hard to get. Their more consistent funding comes from annual fundraisers, memberships, and donations. They receive no federal, state or local funding. All monies they raise or receive go right back into our Lassen County communities.
