Lassen Municipal Utility District is celebrating Public Power Week October 4th – 10th, along with more than 2,000 other community-owned, not-for-profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to 48 million Americans.
“Public Power Week celebrates the reliable, affordable electricity LMUDprovides to our community,” said LMUD’s General Manager, Bill Stewart. “Public power puts the people ofSusanville and Lassen County first, and Public Power Week gives us the chance to emphasize the advantages of locally grown, locally owned power to our citizens,” said Stewart.
“Our service is reliable and safe and we take pride in serving our friends and neighbors,” said Mr. Stewart. “Lassen Municipal Utility District is proud to have served our community for nearly 30 years.”
LMUD invites community members to join them Thursday, October 8th at the utility’s Roop Street business office as they celebrate Public Power Week. LMUD will be serving refreshments throughout the day and customers can sign-up to win a $50 LMUD energy gift card. The utility’s office will be closed between 11:30 and 1:30 for lunch.
