Celebrating Wildflowers with Lassen National Forest

Lassen National Forest is “Celebrating Wildflowers” May 24th through May 27th. Throughout the week, the Forest will highlight the importance of conserving native flowering plants by emphasizing their biological, aesthetic, and economic values.

Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., visitors are invited to the following locations to view displays depicting the wildflowers common to Lassen National Forest:

  • Forest Supervisor’s Office             2550 Riverside Dr., Susanville                     (530) 257-2151
  • Eagle Lake Ranger District              477-050 Eagle Lake Rd., Susanville           (530) 257-4188
  • Almanor Ranger District                 900 East Highway 36, Chester                    (530) 258-2141

Visitors will also find a variety of free materials, including wildflower posters, magnifying glasses, rulers, bookmarks, and guides to local wildflower viewing spots.
