Celebrate the 4th of July at the Lassen County Fair 4th of July Celebration featuring the Diamond Mt. Speedway Freedom Race that will be held from 6:30 to 9pm. Gates will open at 5pm.
A fireworks show will begin at dark following the races. For more information contact the Lassen County Fair at 251-8900.
Don’t miss the Westwood Centennial Celebration at the home of Paul Bunyan & Babe. The Annual Paul Bunyan Mountain and Blues Festival will take place on July 5 & 6.
The event will include a logging show, Blue Ox Bingo, street dance, parade, 5K Walk/Run, living history exhibit, arts, antiques and crafts show. For more information call the Westwood Chamber of Commerce at 256-2456
Show off your community pride at this year’s Lassen County Fair Parade by entering your club or business. The Chamber will be coordinating the Fair Parade on Saturday, July 20th, beginning at 10:00a.m. It’s not too early to begin thinking about your parade entry. There is no cost to participate; deadline to return you entry is Friday, July 12th.
The Lassen Historical Museum is looking for “business memorabilia” that can be used for a special display in honor of the Chambers 125th Anniversary showcasing the business community that will be celebrated in September.
