Chamber Board Accepting Board Applications

The Chamber board of directors is accepting applications to fill several board vacancies. Chamber members interested in representing the business community and sharing their time and talents by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. The Board is seeking a candidate who has business experience, community involvement, and the desire to represent the interests of the local business community. Stop by the Chamber office, or call 257-4323 to receive an application to apply for the vacancy.

The Lassen County District Attorney’s Bad Check Program is available to assist with the recovery of bad checks. If you have received a bad check and would like to take advantage of this service stop by the Chamber or the DA’s office to pick up a copy of the Bad Check Report Form. Bad check writers will face immediate criminal prosecution once the report and corroborating bank records are received. Also available is information on processing a bad check and procedures you can utilize to help avoid problems. Monday Night Football at the Susanville Elk’s Lodge, held each Monday, beginning throughout football season. The no-host bar opens at 5:30pm, tacos are served beginning at 6pm. Watch the game on the big screen and enjoy free popcorn. Bring the whole family for tacos starting at $1.50 each and a fun evening of watching football with family and friends.

 

Big Sky Discount Storage and U-haul, located at 474-445 Big Sky Blvd., is under new ownership. General Manager, Dani Mason, announced that they will be having a Customer Appreciation BBQ Saturday, October 20th, from noon to 3pm. Stop by to tour the property, enjoy live music, and a delicious BBQ. Anyone signing up for a new rental of a storage unit will receive one month free. Storage unit renters will also be having a “yard sale” beginning at 10am.The public is invited to participate if they would like to include items for sale, contact Dani, at 310-5081 for more information.
