Chief Cochran Releases City’s October Crime Numbers

Officers from the Susanville Police Department responded to more than 1,600 incidents in the month of October according to statistics released this week by Police Chief Ryan Cochran.

491 calls for service, 1,157 officer initiated incidents, 842 business and building checks and twenty-eight vehicle and pedestrian checks comprised the 1,648 incidents logged by the department during the month.

Officers issued ninety-nine citations: one infraction, forty-six misdemeanors, forty traffic violations and twelve parking violations.

Officer reports totaled 145, with a variety of reasons for the report being filed.

There were a total of 114 front desk / counter calls.

There were forty-nine misdemeanor, and fifteen felony arrests in September.
