The Susanville office of the California Highway Patrol is working together with Lassen Family Services to collect food for needy local families at a food drive to be held this Thursday, September 1st, in the parking lot at Susanville Supermarket IGA on Main Street.
Food donations will go to the Lassen Family Services food pantry for local families who need assistance. The CHP cruiser will be parked at the store’s parking lot from 3:00 until 7:00p.m. accepting your donations.
Lassen Family Services’ food shelf is in need, according to event organizer Heather Roney, and this Thursday they are asking everyone’s help in ‘Cramming the Cruiser’ as full and as fast as you can.
