CHP: Dayton Woman Suffers Minor Injuries in Highway 44 Rollover

The Susanville Office of the California Highway Patrol has released details of the September 19th traffic collision that sent a Dayton, Nevada woman to Banner Lassen with minor injuries.

According to the CHP’s report, 61 year-old Linda Smith was driving her 1999 Lincoln Towncar eastbound on Highway 44 near McCoy Flat at around 65MPH when she drifted off the right roadway edge.

After swerving to the left and returning to the roadway, the report says Smith steered back to the right and her vehicle left the right roadway edge and rolled over.

According to the CHP it appears that the driver was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, and only suffered minor injuries in the rollover.
