A 17-year old Standish man sustained minor injuries in a Labor Day rollover on Richmond Road, near the intersection of Wingfield Road, according to details released today by the Susanville Area Office of the California Highway Patrol.
At around 7:30a.m. on September 4th, the driver, whose name is not being released because of his age, was driving a 2003 Kia Sorento westbound on Richmond Road at approximately 70 to 75 mph.
As he passed the intersection the driver allowed his vehicle to drift off the right side of the road and onto the dirt shoulder. He attempted to return his vehicle to the roadway, but over-corrected.
The vehicle slid across both lanes of Richmond Road and overturned into the adjoining field.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
