CHP Report: Susanville Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 395

A 29-year old Susanville man, whose name is still being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was killed May 26th, after he failed to negotiate a turn and he lost control of the 2021 Harley Davidson he was riding.

At around 12:45a.m., according to the CHP report, the unidentified rider was traveling southbound on US 395, just south of Byers Pass Road when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control while negotiating a left curve in the roadway.

The motorcycle left the roadway and the rider was ejected.
