Christmas Symphony Performance Brings the Sounds of the Season to Susanville

2015xmas180 This weekend the Susanville Symphony will once again bring to life the holiday spirit of Lassen County with its annual Christmas Concert performances on Friday and Sunday.

The holiday concerts, featuring local musicians and singers, will be performed at the Assembly of God Church December 18th at 7:00p.m. and December 20th at 2:30p.m. Tickets are on sale at Axia Home Loans and Margie’s Book Nook.

The symphony’s Christmas show this year will feature easily recognizable songs, current popular holiday hits and classical Christmas music for those that love pure symphony music.

The program includes movements from The Nutcracker by Peter Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi’s Double Trumpet Concerto (Featuring Paul Lenz and Ben Wade), Correlli’s Christmas Concerto (also knows as the Concerto Grosso), the Canadian Brass Christmas and many other audience favorites.

The annual Christmas performance has become a tradition for folks here in Susanville and this year the performance is filled with glorious music to ring-in the season, including many of your favorite Christmas carols and an audience sing-along.

The Symphony promises, “an unforgettable evening of holiday and classical melodies.”

Performances will be held at the Assembly of God Church on Richmond Road Friday and Sunday. Friday evening’s concert will start at 7:00 and Sunday’s performance starts at 2:30.
