Church of the Nazarene Collecting Crisis Care Kits for Hurricane Victims

Pastor Kathy Watson from Susanville Church of the Nazarene is reaching out to the community as the church prepares to collect and distribute Crisis Care Kits to flood victims in the Houston area that were affected by severe flooding on the heels of Hurricane Harvey.

The kits are made up of a standardized list of items needed by victims, many of whom have lost their possessions and are still unable to return to their homes.

“This is something we do on a regular basis and the kits get shipped all over the world wherever there is a natural disaster,” explains Pastor Watson. “This is a pretty easy way to help people who have lost everything.”

Anyone who is interested in putting a kit together can use the list of items to be included below. Due to the way the kits are shipped each Crisis Care Kit should contain only the items and quantities listed.

According to Watson the church hopes to have kits ready to ship by September 13th.

For more information call Pastor Kathy Watson at 260-3790.
