The City of Susanville has been searching for the perfect ‘theme’ to proudly represent our community’s identity and they want ideas from everyone in town.
“The city theme that is chosen will be unveiled at this year’s Lassen County Fair,” explains Honesty Drake who is working with City Project Manager Quincy McCourt to find a theme, “and it will be intended to help change our community for the better and give our community something to stand behind.”
According to Drake a theme can help us come together to really make a change in our city. But, it all starts with community involvement.
“From our current survey responses, these are some common examples of what people think our theme should include so far; small town community, recreation, agriculture, historic, and even ‘prison town’.”
“We want community connection and input,” said Drake, “and we want you to tell us who we are.”
A city theme typically consists of a few words which describe the area we live in, which will give visitors an idea of who we are. All responses and ideas are welcome.
