Thanks to the Lassen-Modoc Adult Education Block Grant, nationally known author Ben Mikaelsen will make three appearances in Susanville to share his adventures, his inspirations and his methods for researching and writing award-winning novels. Mikaelsen will speak to students at Diamond view Wednesday afternoon, with two presentations later that day at Lassen College. The two sessions in Middleton Hall are open to the public and will begin at 4:00 and 6:30p.m.

Meadow View School’s Monster Mash and Halloween Dance and Carnival will be from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the multipurpose room. The cost is $5 per person and this includes a hot dog, chips, drink, cookie dancing and two tickets to the carnival. You can purchase additional carnival tickets for $1 at the event. Wear your costumes for a Spooktacular time.

Admission price is $20 a person. The doors open at 6:60 p.m., show starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall.
