Chamber Music Festival
The Susanville Symphony Society’s Chamber Music Festival continues this weekend with two more music-filled performances at the United Methodist Church, August 7th and 8th, beginning at 7:30 each evening.
Tickets are available at the Symphony’s regular outlets – Axia Home Loans on Riverside Drive in Downtown Susanville, and Margie’s Book Nook on Main Street in Uptown Susanville. Special discounts are available for students and seniors.
Blues and Brews Farm Bureau Fundraiser
The Lassen County Farm Bureau and Every Bloomin’ Thing Nursery are teaming up once again to bring microbrew and blues to Lassen County on August 8th from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. for their seventh annual Blues and Brews Festival scholarship fundraiser.
At the Farm Bureau’s annual scholarship fundraiser you can enjoy a tasty sip of hand-crafted beer, the sweet sounds of blues and tri-tip – all in the relaxing atmosphere of Every Bloomin’ Thing nursery.
Proceeds from the Blues and Brews event help support local youth pursuing careers in agriculture. Additionally some of the proceeds help fund agricultural education.
Tickets can be purchased at Every Bloomin’ Thing in Susanville and Chester and at Lassen Ale Works. Pre-sale tickets are $30 and include unlimited microbrew tasting, a mug, tri-tip dinner, and blues entertainment. Admission for the under-21 crowd is only $15. Bring your lawn chairs!
