Crews Battling Wildfire Near U.S. 395 and Red Rock Road in South Lassen County

 Updated 3:30p.m. CHP is escorting traffic in both directions on U.S. 395 near the fire.

Updated 2:51 for CHP Road Closures
According to Susanville Area CHP Information Officer Shaun Simmons U.S. 395 between Scott Road and Red Rock Road is shut down to traffic because of the vegetation fire.

Fire crews are on-scene at a wildfire burning approximately 6 miles south of Doyle, near the junction of U.S. 395 and Red Rock road.

A strike team is on order and a report from the scene says the fire is burning in dense brush and moving quickly.
