CrimeStoppers Issues Special Bulletin for Humane Society Donation Thefts

Lassen CrimeStoppers, a local non-profit organization that offers cash awards in return for anonymous tips with information about Lassen County’s crimes and criminals, issued a special bulletin Thursday, offering up to $500 for information about this week’s theft of Humane Society donation boxes from the Susanville Grocery Outlet Store.

The Susanville Police Department is seeking information about a man who entered the store claiming to represent the Lassen County Humane Society and removed five full donation boxes.

According to the society, they believe the suspect visited the store and removed the first box on Wednesday. On Saturday he returned and took four more.

The thief brazenly left a thank-you note from the ‘Gang at the Shelter’ for store management.

If you have any information about the theft, or the suspect pictured in the security camera footage, you may report it anonymously at 1.530.502.TIPS, or contact CrimeStoppers on Facebook, to be eligible for a cash award.
