The Lassen County Office of Education and Dandy the Smokeless Dragon are inviting local families to make a splash before summer ends with a free, tobacco-free end-of-summer celebration!
Dandy’s Pool Party will take place next Friday, August 7th, from 5:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. at the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool. Admission is completely free for the entire family, and guests can cool off with free shaved ice while browsing local community resource booths and picking up fun giveaways throughout the evening.
Along with the poolside fun, the event features Dandy’s Great Duck Adoption & Race Fundraiser benefiting Sober Graduation for local high school seniors. Rubber ducks can be adopted for just $5 each, leading up to the main event when all the ducks hit the water for a race at 7:00p.m.
The top finisher will take home a grand prize of $500 cash, while second and third places will win $300 and $100 cash respectively. You do not need to be present at the time of the race to win.
Every duck adopted directly supports a safe, fun, and sober graduation night for Lassen County seniors. Bring your family and friends out for a fun evening spent making a splash for a healthier, brighter future!
