Deborah Ann Knox was born at Mare Island Naval shipyard in Vallejo California, October 29, 1952 to Richard and Reba Wade.
She passed away peacefully at Banner medical Center in Susanville California, surrounded by her loving family August 24, 2024.
Deborah was the second oldest of two sisters and 8 brothers. She had several nephews and nieces. Her favorite brother was Johnny Morgeson. She also truly loved her sisters in law Eve Morgeson and Pat Worthen.
Deborah went to high school in Neelyville, Missouri. In 1971 she moved to California and started working as a waitress at Sambo’s restaurant where she meet the love of her life William Knox. They were married September 22, 1972.
Later they had two daughters, Cheryl Knox-Bogard and Julie Knox, and two son in law’s Robert Bogard and Ramon Gonzalez.
Deborah had 9 grandchildren, Brandon Knox, Robin Smith-Lake, Andrew Lake, Daniel Knox, Ruth Knox, Courtney Bogard, Amy Bogard, Kaylei Knox, and step granddaughter Ashley Gonzalez.
Deborah also had 6 great grandchildren, Aurora Knox, Addison Lake, Bentley Knox, Wrenley Lake, Odessa Lake, and step great granddaughter Emma Harrington.
And her beloved dog Coco.
Deborah spent many years waitressing, working as a bank teller, and a secretary before retiring to spend time with her love William.
Deborah spent many years volunteering with the Department of Fish and Game helping William teach hunters safety. She loved being outdoors hunting and fishing with her husband.
In Deborah’s spare time she enjoyed watching her youngest granddaughter Kaylei Knox Cheer for Lassen High School cheer team.
Deborah’s greatest love was her lord and savior Jesus, to be with her late husband William, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, church family, and friends. She loved us all so much.
Deborah will forever be in our hearts and will be loved and missed by all.
