Dignity Health Connected Living has announced the launch of a new congregate meal program for Westwood seniors, set to begin shortly.
In a wonderful display of community spirit, The Blue Ox Cafe (located at 313 Birch St in Westwood) has generously offered their dining room to host the program. This partnership will allow Westwood seniors to sit together, socialize, and enjoy a meal in a warm, welcoming environment.
Lunches will be served each Wednesday, with a start date to be announced, to seniors over the age of 60, regardless of income.
Participants will receive one hot meal to enjoy at the cafe, plus four frozen meals to take home, providing a total allotment of five meals per week.
Contributions are welcomed to help support the program, but no senior will be turned away for an inability to contribute towards a meal.
Registration is Open Now. Dignity Health Connected Living is registering seniors for this upcoming service immediately. To sign up for a meal, please call 1.530.226.3070.
Volunteer opportunities are available!
