Dirt Track Racing Gets Underway April 25th at the Diamond Mountain Speedway

Get ready to start your engines, Susanville! Berglund Racing Promotions has officially unveiled the 2026 race schedule for Diamond Mountain Speedway, promising another thrilling season of dirt-track action right here at the Lassen County Fairgrounds, with a big opening-race kickoff planned for April 25th.

The season gets underway with a pair of “Test & Tune” sessions on March 21st and April 4th, both weather permitting, to get the cars dialed in. The main event kicks off with official Opening Day ceremonies on April 25th.

From there, the schedule is packed with high-speed excitement, including May Madness on May 9th, the Memorial Weekend double-header on May 23rd and 24th, and the June Jamboree on June 13th.

Mid-summer brings some of the season’s highlights, starting with Summer Nights on June 20th, followed by the patriotic “Nights of Freedom” 4th of July celebration, which will feature a spectacular fireworks display on July 3rd.

As the season heats up, you can catch the Full Throttle Saturday event on July 25th, the Dirt Dash on August 8th, and the Speed Demon Sprint on August 22nd, all leading up to the grand finale: Championship Weekend on August 29th and 30th.

To make sure you don’t miss a lap, keep in mind that for Friday and Saturday events, the grandstands open at 5:00p.m. with racing starting at 6:00p.m. If there is a Sunday race, the schedule shifts earlier, with grandstands opening at 1:00p.m. and racing beginning at 2:00p.m. Be sure to keep an eye out for updates throughout the season, as any changes to these times will be posted before race day.

Ticket prices are set to keep the racing accessible for everyone. General admission for the grandstands is $15, with a discounted rate of $10 for seniors and children ages 5 through 17. As a thank you to those who serve, veterans are admitted for free, as are children under 5. If you want to get closer to the action, pit passes are available for $30, or $20 for seniors and kids 5 and older.

This year’s field is looking incredibly diverse. You can expect to see fierce competition across a wide variety of classes, including IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, and IMCA Stock Cars. The track will also be roaring with Hobby Stocks, Mini Stocks, Sprint Cars, Dwarf Cars and Prostocks all season long.
