Several events have been impacted by the Dixie Fire this weekend.
Because the Dixie Fire Camp was moved to the Lassen County Fairgrounds Lassen Family Services has been forced to postpone this weekend’s Soaring Sierra Music and Art Festival. The festival will be rescheduled in the near future.
The uptown Farmer’s Market, scheduled for Saturday morning, has been canceled according to market organizer Sandra Horst.
Susanville Basque Club’s annual Picon Open has been rescheduled for September 18th.
All Lassen College instruction is paused effective immediately and campus will be depopulated until further notice. LCC Administration anticipates this pause will last through the weekend with a restart expected for Monday, August 23rd, but this will determined by conditions on the ground.
