It was a hard-fought battle Friday evening at Arnold Field where the Lassen Grizzlies took an early lead against Chico, and only with a great deal of effort managed to stay ahead of the strong willed Panther offense.
The game, which was delayed over an hour, ended with Lassen on top 41 to 34.
The Lassen Freshman squad won 28-20 and the Junior Varsity team tied with Chico 35 – 35.
