The Lassen County Veteran’s Food Locker, a 501(c)(3) non-profit group, was formed two years ago to provide food to Veterans and their families in times of need.

Recipients must be Veterans and are strongly encouraged to be registered with the Lassen County Veteran’s Service office, and appropriate Social Services, e.g. WIC, SNAP, or other welfare agencies.

The LCVFL will supply food items for a limited time until regular social services programs are obtained and utilized.

The food locker is located in the Veterans’ Hall on main street and those Veterans who need food item should contact the Veteran’s Service Office during normal business hours.

Donations are needed and appreciated and those wishing to donate food items or other hygiene type items; tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, washcloths, etc, may bring such items to the Lassen Veterans Building on Main St. during normal business hours, M-F, 9am to 4pm.

Groups wishing to hold food or hygiene item ‘drives’ or to make monetary donations please contact Bobbie Holman at Tri-counties Bank for details and coordination, and Tax ID number.

To arrange for pick-up of contributions or for questions, please contact Gary felt, 360-509-7032.
